Altro Captile strip C8 provides a neat, secure and hygienic finish at wall and floor junctions, where you cove vinyl flooring up to meet a wall tile. Use it with cove formers, in effect forming a skirting.
Altro Captile strip C8 is available in White in 2.5m length and constructed from durable and tough PVC, so it lasts as long as your installation.
Altro Captile strip C8 is for use in wet areas where you need a watertight joint between your floor and a wall tile.

How do I use it?
Before starting to lay your floor, fit your cove former and captile strip to the perimeter of the installation to support the floor when it is turned up the wall. Install the captile strip at the same time as the wall tiles.
To install the captile strip, mark the required height to the wall surface, up to a minimum height of 100mm and a maximum of 150mm with a pencil or chalk line. Drill holes in the captile strip to accept masonry nails and then fix your captile strip with a combination of tile adhesive and masonry nails.
Mitre the internal corners and wrap the captile strip around the external corners.
To fit the external corners cut a section out of the back and place a separate piece of floor under the captile strip.
Once you have fitted the cove former and captile strip in place, you can start to install the floor into the captile strip.
Which cove former do I use with this capping seal?
You can use an Altro Cove former CF38R or Altro Cove former CF20R radius cove former with this product.
What adhesive do I use with it?
You need to use a suitable contact adhesive, available from most flooring wholesalers, to adhere the cove former and Altro flooring vertically, then use wall tile adhesive on the Altro Captile strip C8.
Do I need to hot weld anything?
You do not need to weld Altro Captile strip C8, but will need to hot weld all mitres and joints within the coving, as you install your floor.
