This is a preformed wall corner protector, designed for ease of use. It’s the perfect solution for those of you who don’t have access to a thermoformer to run your wall protection sheets around your corners and who still want to protect these really vulnerable areas.
It’s made from an extruded, semi-rigid, 2.5mm PVCu sheet, so it gives you the right level of flexibility for installation, without compromising on its toughness or durability. To avoid a sharp edge, we have applied a radius of 5mm to the corner. For your peace of mind, it’s backed by a 20-year product guarantee.
It features a lightly textured surface, camouflaging scuffs and keeping the corner looking better for up to 25 years. Available in 10 colours, it co-ordinates perfectly with Altro Fortis Titanium, our wall protection sheet. You can use it with Altro Fortis Titanium, as part of an integrated system, or on its own.
Altro Fortis corner protection is guaranteed for 20 years and has a life expectancy of 25 years. It does not require the same level of maintenance as a painted surface, which you may need to repair and repaint regularly. It requires very little maintenance.

Altro Fortis corner protection is fully bonded to the substrate; therefore, it maintains the integrity of the wall corner in high traffic areas, by absorbing the effects of any impacts. In so doing, it protects your wall from the potential damage caused by impacts, bumps and scrapes, which require budget and resource to remedy and, if left unrepaired, could lead to the growth of microorganisms.

How do I cut the corner protection if I need to?
A jigsaw is best; however, you can also use a fine toothed handsaw or circular saw with pressure guide.
What skill level do I need to use this product?
This product is suitable for use by professional installers or those with extensive experience of working with wall cladding. If you have any doubts about whether you have the right skill level to use this product, please call us in advance to discuss. Are Altro are a recommended supplier of walls on the Department of Health’s ProCure22 Framework for NHS and social care construction schemes in England?
Yes. We were appointed in 2018 as a recommended supplier of wall and door systems, including the Altro Whiterock and Altro Fortis systems; this means their hygienic credentials meet the strictest requirements for infection control and critical care. We are also a recommended supplier for flooring.
What fire performance does Altro Fortis corner protection provide?
Walling products receive fire performance Classifications of A1, A2, B, C, D, E or F depending on the test results and the additional smoke and droplet designations – s1, s2, s3 and d0, d1, d2.
- Classes A1 and A2 are only for non-combustible products such as stone
- All Altro wall coverings are either Class B s3 d0 or Class B s2 d0

How do I clean Altro Fortis corner protection?
It’s easy to clean with a soft cloth, washing with water or diluted soap / detergent solutions.
